It occurred to me that there may be a handful of parents out there with restless little ones, or adults who deal with insomnia like I do, who are in need of some soothing lullabies. That being the case, I am starting a YouTube channel called Mama Songbird where I will sing lullabies or non-lullabies as lullabies. All the songs will be a cappella, so there aren’t any jarring instrumentals that will cause the child (or you) to wake up when they were almost asleep, and no video ads, as long as I can help it, so the lullabies will be uninterrupted.
If you have any song requests, I will gladly work on those next so you can hear your favorite lullabies. So far I have recorded “All the Pretty Little Horses,” “Baa, Baa Black Sheep,” “Brahms’ Lullaby,” “Hush Little Baby,” “Close Your Eyes,” the one my mom would sing by James Taylor, and “One Tin Soldier.”
A big thank you to Noele Gore, my lovely friend, for the name of the channel, who has requested “A Bushel and a Peck” from Guys and Dolls as a lullaby.
I will keep y’all up to date when the videos are up-feel free to comment here with song requests!
